Our Graduate School of Agriculture is a graduate school with a master's degree (Department of Agriculture) and a doctoral degree (Cooperative Division of Veterinary Sciences), and aims to promote cutting-edge research and education in the fields of food, environment, and life sciences, and to cultivate highly skilled human resources who will contribute to the realization of a sustainable society. Modern society faces many serious challenges, including climate change, food and resource security, ecosystem conservation, and the spread of infectious diseases. Agriculture is an important academic field that provides a scientific approach to solving these social issues and opens up new possibilities for the future.
Our graduate school aims to cultivate highly specialized human resources who can respond to the diverse needs of society by deepening their expertise, incorporating cutting-edge AI and information and communication technologies, and by strengthening collaboration with research institutes and industries both in Japan and overseas, promoting research studies abroad, and emphasizing the importance of tackling problems from a global perspective.
