Participated in the 5th Waseda Brussels Conference
ブリュッセルのUniversity Foundationで開催された、5th Waseda Brussels Conferenceにムーンショット目標5のプログラムディレクターとして招聘され、山本EU大使ご臨席のもと基調講演を行うと共に引きつづき行われたパネリストとして参加しました。本会議は、Global Sustainable Food Supplyをテーマに、EU連合と日本の連携の在り方について議論を深める目的で開催されました。冒頭、Jean-Eric Paquet在日EU大使からもビデオメッセージをいただきました。私からは、地球温暖化が進む中での現在の世界の食料供給産業の在り方、今後の目指すべき姿についてお話をさせていただきました。また、パネルディスカッションでは、持続可能な国際連携や機関連携の在り方について意見を述べると共に、農業生産者の地位確立や経済的な位置づけについての改善の必要性についても積極的な議論があり、これからのより密な国際連携を見据え大変有益な会議となりました。
I was invited to the 5th Waseda Brussels Conference held at the University Foundation in Brussels as Program Director of Moonshot #5, where I delivered a keynote speech in the presence of EU Ambassador Yamamoto and I also participated as a panelist held in succession. The conference was held with the theme of "Global Sustainable Food Supply" and aimed to deepen the discussion on how the EU Union and Japan should cooperate with each other. At the beginning of the meeting, we also received a video message from EU Ambassador to Japan Mr. Jean-Eric Paquet. I spoke about the current state of the global food supply industry in the midst of global warming, and what we should aim for in the future. In the panel discussion, I expressed my opinions on sustainable international partnerships and institutional collaboration, and actively discussed the need to improve the status of agricultural producers and their economic positioning.
